Run to the Sea Bournemouth
Race Information

The Run to the Sea Bournemouth 50k Ultra Marathon takes place on Saturday 16th October 2021.

 

A fantastic route, following the Castleman Trailways for part of the way from Moors Valley Country Park to Bournemouth seafront and then on to the unforgettable Hengistbury Head.  The 50km point-to-point course will include a variety of terrain, including wonderful forest trails and coastal paths.

You have the option to a) park at the start and make your own way back afterwards, b)  park at the finish at Hengistbury Head and book the bus transport to the start before the race.  Then your car will be at the finish waiting for you (£5).

There are four feed stations along the route and we'll even take your own nutrition out to the feed stations for you, if you prefer to use your own tried and tested food.

​

You can use this as a  perfect intro to ultra-running, an opportunity to challenge yourself to a great 50km run time, or simply just enjoy a fantastic run to the sea!

Team Challenge (optional):  Your team of five can be any combination of males/females/age categories.  The first team with five over the line wins.  You can choose whether to run together or separately

We want to try to be as plastic free as possible, therefore will not be using plastic cups at feed stations.  You have the option to buy a rather nice UltraViolet silicone cup (squashable and very easy to carry) when you enter (£3) or use your own.  You will of course still be able to fill your water bottles!
